Perth
Perth is the largest city and capital of the state of Western Australia, located in southwestern Australia on the shores of the Indian Ocean. The Wave Rock is located near the Wheatbelt town of Hyden. Getting there from Perth is a pleasant 340-kilometre drive (approximately three to four hours) through rolling farmlands to wide vistas of wheat and canola fields.
This 110-metre long multi-coloured granite cliff is shaped remarkably like a huge wave about to crash onto the bush. Pose on the rock face and surf the giant wave or see it from a different perspective by following the walk trails around the base and over the top.

Karijini National Park Western Australia
Karijini National Park is an Australian national park centred in the Hamersley Ranges of the Pilbara region in the northwestern section of Western Australia. The park is located north of the Tropic of Capricorn, 1,055 kilometres from the state’s capital city, Perth. Formerly known as Hamersley Range National Park, the park was officially renamed in 1991.
At 627,422 hectares, Karijini is the second largest national park in Western Australia .
The Pinnacles Desert
The area contains thousands of weathered limestone pillars. Some of the tallest pinnacles reach heights of up to 3.5m above the yellow sand base. The different types of formations include ones which are much taller than they are wide and resemble columns—suggesting the name of Pinnacles—while others are only a meter or so in height and width resembling short tombstones. A cross-bedding structure can be observed in many pinnacles where the angle of deposited sand changed suddenly due to changes in prevailing winds during formation of the limestone beds. Pinnacles with tops similar to mushrooms are created when the calcrete capping is harder than the limestone layer below it. The relatively softer lower layers weather and erode at a faster rate than the top layer leaving behind more material at the top of the pinnacle.
Kalbarri National Park
The Kalbarri National Park covers 183,004 hectares and consists of two different types of landscape. On the one hand, it protects the lower Murchison River, which has cut a red and white striped gorge for a length of 80 km on its winding path to the ocean. Second, it includes the steep coast south of the city of Kalbarri. It is also famous for its splendor of wild flowers, which transform the sand plain into a sea of flowers in spring. It can be reached from Perth via the North West Coastal Highway 533 km to the north. The south access road from Northampton and the west approach are paved. The national park roads are sometimes very rough, but gravel roads suitable for cars.
Turquoise Bay

The main attraction of the national park are the up to four meters high weathered limestone pillars, the “Pinnacles”; it is therefore also known under the name Pinnacles Desert, which only makes up a four square kilometer small part of the national park.
Elephant Rocks
Elephant Rocks is a sheltered beach in Western Australia, a few hundred metres east of Greens Pool. It is located about 15 km west from Denmark, in William Bay National Park. Its name is derived from a series of exposed rocks, which from several angles resembles a herd of elephants.
